Serious BJC post
Some of you lovely people who have already purchased your ticket for the BJC (British Juggling Convention 10-14 April) should have had an email from me calling for help encouraging ticket sales and you may be wondering what is going on.
I will lay it out for you, we need another 150 tickets to be sold to make the event viable and this is with a very pared back event, very bare bones. I have said we will see where we are on the 15th Feb and make a decision about whether to call it all off and cancel. So if you really want this to happen please get these tickets sold. I have had one sale since I put the email out......
It is really disappointing as I had hoped that we would at least be able to rustle up around 250 people for the basic event. Perhaps it was naive of me, but at least I tried.
If the worst case scenario occurs then I will still do a merchandise run if people would still like the stuff they ordered.
Thanks again for your support and I hope that you will do your best for the BJC.
Jane

For those not on Facebook, here's today's post from the BJC :-(It is with a sad and sorry heart that I write this post. With only one day to go I fear that a miracle is not going to appear. The numbers needed are just too many for a last minute flurry.
I feel sad that our idea didn't work, perhaps if we had of had the idea earlier things might have been different. I know that some BJC regulars made alternative plans before we announced the dates and others are committed to EJC.
I hope that there are people out there who will be proposing a BJC for 2020. We would love to hear from you very soon.
I also fear that if there aren't any that again it will be my fault because I proposed a British EJC, which has inadvertently ruined BJC for this year and maybe for the future.
Sorry

And it seems that the Unicode emoticon truncated the post!
Here it is again with the character replaced by ASCII ...It is with a sad and sorry heart that I write this post. With only one day to go I fear that a miracle is not going to appear. The numbers needed are just too many for a last minute flurry.
