Hello there,

I'm Birmingham based, UK and am usually found hanging from things. Although aerial has until now been my main focus, I was recently taught to breathe fire and given some 'what not to do's. Fire is always something I've wanted to learn but seemed out of reach because I wasn't in any of those circles. Now that it's more accessible to me I've done some reading up...about as much reading up as Google allows. I value jamming and playing with people who know what they're doing though, the same as aerial or anything with a danger factor, because let's face it, when it comes to us creatives the more, the merrier :)
So I can spin poi too. I'm not a pro, but can fluently move from one thing to another and have wanted to practice fire poi for sometime. Did a couple of nightclub body burns/breathe sets recently using borrowed sticks and that's about it in terms of my experience so far.

I'm interested in local jams. I know of Stratford-Upon-Avon Fire Spinners. Hoping to make it to one of their jams but public transport is an issue. I'm waiting to hear if any of their regulars go from Bham and have car space.
Do any of you know of any other groups or clubs close to me? I'm investigating as we speak!
