Hey Everyone, I've just created this account to ensure that my university juggling club doesn't keep getting listed as defunct. If any of you ever pass through Portsmouth, UK you should come say hi and join our facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/UPSOCS (sorry for the shameless promotion).
As for me personally I'm society secretary; currently practicing with my juggling spanners... I've been to the EJC, IJC (Israel) and Bath Upchuck. Next convention I'm looking at going to is either the next BJC or EJC. Unless someone here can sell me on the National Circus Festival of Ireland which keeps looking awfully tempting to me... Anybody here been? I'd love to hear what experience you have of it. The lack of camping is what is currently putting me off
Jon Peat wrote about the Dublin festival earlier this year which sounded good. I went to the first EJC in Ireland & had a great time there. I'm sure you will too.
Please tell me you pronounce UPSOCS as 'up socks'.
The National Circus Festival of Ireland [originally known as Tralee Juggling Convention] is Ireland's biggest annual juggling convention. The lack of camping [in mid-November!] is mitigated by the fact that the majority of people attending are attached (in some fashion) to university juggling societies in Ireland who arrange accommodation in holiday apartments in Tralee [about 5 minutes walk from venue]. The Dublin university societies also often arrange coaches from Dublin. Of course their own students get first choice of places, but there are generally a few on offer to non-students. The Circus and Juggling Ireland facebook group [I know, facebook] is generally a good place to see what universities have spaces [bus or accommodation] going.

Dee- Thanks a lot, that's the exact sort of information I was after and gives me a good place to start! Now just to see if I can convince myself that my student loan would be best spent on flights...
